Filmmaker Nick Zedd, de man die het begrip CINEMA OF TRANSGRESSION verzon, om de extreme lo-fi, Super 8 (en ook video) te beschrijven die hij en anderen, inclusief Richard Kern (nauw betrokken bij Sonic Youth), Lydia Lunch en Cassandra Stark, uitkotsten over het New York van de jaren 80. De belangrijkste elementen in deze schokkende films vol seks, geweld en zwarte humor, even als directheid en een D-I-Y mentaliteit en wijken op deze laatste aspecten niet al te veel af van de No Wave cinema uit het programma van zaterdag. Nick bracht alles echter naar een volgende niveau en we zijn blij dat hij hier zal zijn om met ons zijn films te delen.
